Okay, so we are often told we should be more physically active. And when we are told this … the majority of us think weight loss! But this is not the only benefit that comes to mind at AWPilates & Wellness when we think of ‘being physically active’. Whether you are young or old, overweight or fit, yoga has the power to calm the mind and strengthen the body. Don’t be intimidated by yoga terminology, fancy yoga studios and complicated poses. Yoga is for everyone and at AWP our yoga classes are about reconnecting the mind and body and leaving your stress at the door!
Barre fitness is a hybrid workout class combining ballet-inspired moves with elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and strength training. Most classes incorporate a ballet barre and use classic dance moves but you do not need to be a dancer or even be flexible to join these classes! The music is fun and we laugh lots and channel our inner dancers while building strength!
