Beginners 6 Week Course

Welcome to your 6 – Week Pilates Beginners Program! I am honestly so honoured you have chosen our little studio to begin (or strengthen) your Pilates journey. This 6 week beginners course will introduce you to Pilates in a small private group with other beginners like you. We will progress weekly to take you from “I have no idea – into – I can” with confidence in all the foundations and breathing techniques.

Pilates will begin to increase your muscle strength and tone, particularly in your abdominal muscles, lower back, hips and bum! We will focus on our posture to improve stability in the body, body awareness and improve back health.

When do these sessions run?

Our regular sessions will be on Wednesday evenings 6:45 – 7:45 pm; our studio is located at the very end of Bushland Beach (near the pub). We are in the same complex as the medical centre. Our studio is situated between the pool shop and the physiotherapy clinic.

What do I need to bring?

All you need is your yoga mat, a pair of socks (covid government regulations), water (if you would like) and a small towel. We do sell grip socks available in the studio. You do not have to wear grip socks but they do assist with some of our exercises to keep us connected with our mat. We have a variety of styles / colors available so be sure to check them out when you are in our studio.

What does your program include?

This 6 – week course includes weekly sessions where we will build your knowledge and experience of pilates up. We focus on technique, moving with your body (not how we think it should look) and review all the foundational exercises.

You have  1 month of access to all our other classes available on the timetable AFTER your course including yoga, stretch and meditation. These classes will review your foundational exercises and continue to enhance your progress!

You will also have a printed workbook that will have all our exercises and information that we will go through over the next 6 weeks. You do not have to fill these out but they are a great place to jot down some tips/tricks to help you practice at home. 

Where are classes held and how much are they?

The course cost is $160 which includes your weekly session, access to our other classes on the timetable and your workbook. Our studio is located within the same complex as the Bushland Beach Medical Centre @ 6/367 Mount Low Parkway.
